With the ongoing vision for Dubai 2020 to strengthen the hospitality industry for the World Cup, a lot of old office buildings and properties are being converted to hotel. The brief for Al Maktoum was for a hip urban hotel that captures the exciting and dynamic spirit of Deira. This was elegantly achieved with a disciplined play of modern lines and layers.
